Mit liUTi's, who has been Chief Postmaater of Wulliugton for the last 10 years, is to ba transferred to Duncdin, taUing Mr Barr's place, wlio retires on a pension. It is intended to work die Wellington olh'ce in connection with the Head OHico, and do away with the ,)fiice of Chief Postmaster. Mr Hoggani, chief clerk, will be in charge, but will not be called postmaster. The changes have been etfected with a view to retrenchment.
