TONGARIRO IN ACTIVITY.
[l!Y TELEGRAPH— OWN" CORR.KSI'ONDENT, ] Auckland, Frfday. A TELEGRAM from Taupo states that a sharp shod: of earthquake occurred this morning at 3 o'clock, and came, apparently from Tongariro. A Inrge column of smoke and vapour still keeps rising from the active crater. The mountains are covered with a thick mantle of snow.
