Mektinu 01'' School CoMMirm:.—A meeting of this committee was held 011 Tuesday evening, Mr J. L. Mandeno in the chair. The minutes of the last committee meeting were read and confirmed. Mr Teasdale, in conjunction with the chairman, was authorised to sign all cheques. A circular was read from the Board, notifying that Miss Cruokes, who has been a probationer, has been promoted to the rauk of assistant teacher. Circular from the ollice of the Minister of liducatiou, showing amount expended 011 schools since the bringing into operation of.thv Act in 1877, was received. Circular from the Auckland University College Department of Applied Science, setting forth terms for instruction in drawing, was received. Circular from the Board was received, offering the loan of, apparatus for instruction in chemistry. Circular from the Board, stating terms Imprinted forms to be filled in by parents or guardians accounting for the absence or late arrivals of pupils were icceived, and a motion was passed authorising the purchase of five hundred. Messrs Sorby and Teasdalc were appointed a visiting committee for the current year.—Kesolved that coal and also two loads of gravel be procured. This concluded the business.
