POLICE COURT, CAMBRIDGE.
Wkdnksday.—(Before Messrs Russell and Clements, J.P's. Horse Stealing.—'Three youths, named Doyle, Howell and Kennedy, were brought up, on remand, charged with having stolen two horses from Cambridge West. Constable.Brennan conducted tho case for the police, and Mr O'Meagher, of Auckland, appeared to defend Howell and Kennody. Constable Brennan said the police did not wish to offer evidence against Doyle, and asked that he might be discharged. Several witnesses were examined, but we have no room for a detailed report of the case, which occupied a considerable time both 011 Thursday and Friday. The accused Doyle turned Queen's evidence. Tho bench thought thera was sufficient evidence to warrant a committal. The prisoners wore, therefore, committed to take their trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court.
