Henry La wry was fined 30s and costs for cruelly to a horse, ami Henry Selmmaker for a similar offence, was fined £o or 21 day's imprisonment. The charge against Smith, Mason and Winter of taking rock oysters during eloru season, was dismissed to-day, the K. M. holding that the oysters were "shore oysters." On 'Change business was done as follows Cambrias, lis 0 I and 8s 10J ; Matnikaus 2s Id and 2s 2d ; Paroquets, 2s 2d and 2s Sd ; Mercury Bay Timber .Shares disposed of at lis. An action lias been commenced in the Supreme Court against l)r. Kcnderdine by Mrs Freestone of Eden Crescent, for £400 for the loss of her lelfc eye, through alleged maltreatment. Mr W. J. Napier lias been retaiui.nl for plaintiff, and Messrs Whitaker and Russell for defendant.
