McDonald Scott rcccived the following wire from tho manager of the Cambria mine this morning, that 104 loads of quarts were crushed for 22fjozs. gold, 35 pounds picked stone for 700/.s. gold. Total, 20(iozs. gold. Another very important item of news affecting the welfare of the Thames Gold fields comes from England. Mr E. K. Cooper has floated a company with a capital of £100,000 to work the Jnbilee Special Claim at Waitekauri, and operations are to bo commenced at once. Mr Cooper telegraphs that tho stone he took with liini has returned £50 per ton.
