Kaikoura, which left Plymouth on tiie 10th March, arrived off Port Chalmers heads at 11.30 last night, but did not come in till noon to-day, CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Clias. E. Scott, formerly a clerk employed in the Lyttleton Times Company's Oilice, was committed for trial on a charge of embezzling £o.'!, which he received from newspaper runners, and had not accounted for. He had absconded to Melbourne, where he was arrested. Esther Matilda Evitt lias been committed for trial on a charge of forgery.
