Cambridge.

The annual meeting for the election ol members of the Cambridge School Committee was held last evening, at 7.30 p.m., the Mayor (Mr Hally) in the chair. About 20 householders were present. The report and balance - sheet were adopted, after which the following gentlemen were proposed Messrs R. \V. Sergent, S. Alford, Ja-s. Hally, -J. Ferguson, J. Webber, J. S. Bond, G. Dickenson and J. Houghton. Messrs G. W. Russell and 10. Hewitt declined to stand. Mr Russell thought it would be necessary to take a ballot. The ballot had not been declared when our wire left. We will, therefore, give the result in our next issue.
