Friday. — (Before Captain Jackson, R.M.) W. H. Grace and Hknahk Tikihini.—Mr Gresham for plaintiff, Mr Ansenne for defendant. Claim £24 11 9d for money lent and goods supplied in ISSO. The defence admitted the supply and the loan, but claimed that the amount in dispute was due to the I'atetere'Company and not to Mr Grace, and had been paid to the company. The evidence of the plaintiff and of Mrs Corboy clearly disproved the truth of this defence. The evidence of Mr R. E. M. Campbell, taken at Wanganui on behalf of the defendant, was read. Karanama a native gave evidence for the defimce. In giving judgment for the plaintiff for the full amount claimed, and costs £7 Bs, the Resi dent Magistrate stated his inability to credit the evidence of the defendant. Ranvjintoiiakau v Hemt Koicako and OTHERS : NOABAMA HATUA V SAME.— Mr Gresham for plaintiffs Mr Hay for defendants. These cases were adjourned lo llth Mav, when they will be heard before the R.
