A defective chimney is supposed to have been the cause of the fire. Search Ins been made for the bodies of the mising men, Scott and London, who were supposed to Iwe been drowned in the river on the 3rd, but no trace of them have been found. In the case of Newall v. Menzies the plaintiff claims £1000, for the lose of her husband at this Glcnha-.ii Tunnel on the Edcttdale-Fortross Railway, the defendant being the contractor. The tunnel subsided in November last, killing three men, and it is alleged that the accident was due to the neglect of the defendant.
