[»T TELEGRAPH.— OWX COURKSPONDHNT. J Auckland, Wednesday. At the Supreme Court to-day, his Honour gave judgement in tho case Wm. Jackson v the New Zealand Native Land Company's claim to have the Register of the Company rectified by his name being struck off, as the company had been amalgamated with the Auckland Native Land Colonisation Company, (Limited), the shareholders ia the company to receive a smaller number of shares in the New Zealand Company. Major Jackson, who held shares in the Auckland Company, agreed to take up shares under tiiis compromise, The compromise was afterwards proved illegal. He therefore took steps to have his name taken off the register. His Honour said the whole proceedings of the company in the transaction were illegal, and therefore the plaintiff was entitled to have liia name removed olf the register as prayed.
