OHINEMURI.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWX CORKESPONDEXt]. Paeboa, Friday. The Hon. Mr Fisher Minister for Education and Marine paid a visit to Paeroa today, he expresssed himself as strongly in favour of the upper country people having control of their own rivers. It being mentioned that there might be some difficulty should the boundary of the Thames Harbour Board be limited to the mouth of the Thames River, as the river is within the boundaries of several bodies, the Minister expressed his opinion that a Conservation Board should be constituted, with two members from Oliinemuri, two from Piako, two from the Tnames, and one from Te Aroha. Mr Fisher visited the Paeroa school, and expressed himself as much pleased with it and its management. More pegging out is going on at Waitekauri. Several gentlemen from Auckland and elsewhere, connected with mining, are on a visit there. Some good stono has been grassed in the Eclipse claim.
