FIGHTING IN NEW BRITAIN,
« (By Elkcthic Tei<e«kaph—Copvbight.) Wkluxoton, Monday. The New Britain natives, who have been fighting, invited the American Consul to arbitrate, when he was attacked by one party, and narrowly escaped by retreating through the bush, and returning in force killed the chief.
