[BY" TELEGRAPH—OWN CORKKSPONDEN'T.] Auckland, Friday An' unfortunate, named Surah Home, was charged to-day, with " lambing down " a bushnian, but got off for want of evidence. The Trades and Labour Council interviewed the Hon. Mr Mitchelson to-day on several matters. He advised them to bring the Chinese question before Parliament. Three boys, for stealing melons from a Chinaman's garden in Kyber Pass, were tiued £1 mid costs each, this morning. Hen. George Fisher visited the Kuliimarauni Industrial .School to-day. Hay, on ten sheaves, chaff and straw sold at advanced rates at the Haymarket to-day, though the prices were still in favour of the buyer. A deputation from the Chamber of Commecre waited on the Hon. Mr Mitelielsoii this atternoon, ro tile Main Trunk Railway Line. The Minister expressed himself in favour of the central route, but said the (iovernment were having surveys of both routes made, and were giving the matter the fullest consideration.
