YK.STEim.VT.— (Before Captain Jackson, R.M.) CIVIL CASKS. Hay v. Barlow, re-hearing; adjourned from last sitting.—Mr O'Neill for defendant. This case occupied tho whole day. Mr Northcroft, R.M., was examined at great length by the defence, more particularly with respect to some alleged ex parte statement made by him with reference to Barlow, when the case was first heard before him as magistrate. Tho defendant's (Barlow) examination in chief and crossexamination occupied a considerable time. —Mr H. Cowper was also examined, after which counsel addressed the Court, who reserved judgment till the next sitting day.
