The Horticultural Show.

The principal attraction in the Waikato for holiday seekers to-day is tho Horticultural Society's Annual Show, held for the second time in Hamilton. Although the entries from some of the outlying districts are not so numerous, still the collection of fruit and vegetables, judging from a glimpse of the hall last night, are very tine. Benefitting by past experience the exhibits are fir butter classified, and no doubt the visitors and those interested will fully appreciate the efforts of the committee in making the Show as attractive as could possibly be done. There will also be a gift auction in a marquee adjoining the show for the benefit of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Hamilton. The members of tho abovo congregation have for some time past been preparing tor the occasion, and we trust that their expectations will be fullv realised.

The Waikato Jockey Club Races. These races are to be held on Mr Allwill's now course, and aro sure to draw together a large crowd. Although the stakes are not large, the acceptances are beyond the anticipation of tho club. The two most exciting events of the day are the Waikato Jockey Club's Handicap all( l lc Redwood Stakes.
