LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Auckland, Mmtday. The charge of stealing £30, preferred by Alice Buckingham, against Hugh Campbell, was dismissed at the Police Court today, the magistrate considering the evidence insufficient to send the case to trial. Some steps are being taken to get the Government to remit fines passed on Clark, the man-o-wars-man, for assaulting a constable.
