V large number of riflemen arrived here from the North to-day en route for the rifle association meeting at Oatnaru. .Scott Bros., of Christchuroh, Ime completed the contracts for locomotives. A special excursion was run to Little River ro-day. The train was drawn by an engine finished by them. The Minister of Public Works and many prominent citizens were present. The engine worked very s noothly.
