PROHIBITION IN HAMILTON.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —I understand that a movement is on foot to establish prohibition in the Borough of Hamilton. Undoubtedly we have to:' many hotels in our midst, far more than our requirements demand, and the doinir away with some or all of them would surely be a step in advance, and preferable to any dissolution of the borough, which latter action would only tend to depreciate the value of property. The idea is one well worth corisidei'in-.', and if properlv taken in hand can easily bo carried out. I am, Sir, yours &c., 1.0. G.T. Hamilton, 24th February, ISSS.
