It is to be hoped tint the resignation of the band-master, Mr Munro, will not lead to the disruption of the Hamilton Brass Bind. An institution of the kind, well organised and in a state of efficiency, always serves as an attraction to any town, where the preseuce of a body of well-trained musicians enliven public holidays or festive gatherings which would otherwise be dull and flat without them. As a rule the public are not slow to patronise a local baud and in this respect the people of Hamilton have given a fair support to the one that lias being in existence under Mr Munro. It is therefore, with much satisfaction we learn that an effort is to be made to create the Hamilton into a Volunteer Brass Baud attached to the Hamilton Light Infantry under Captain Reid. Such a step would very much strengthen its position and place it in a state of organisation more acceptable to the public and the members themselves.
