SERIOUS ACCIDENT.

Ax accident of an alarming nature occurred yesterday, to Mr Thomas senr., of Kirikiriroa, an old and much respected settler. It appears he was out with a team of horses, ploughing, when the animals became restive, and when he went to their heads they bolted, knocking him over, and, as we aro informed, drawing the plough, a double furrow one, over him, inflicting severe injuries. Mr Thomas was as speedily as possible conveyed to the Waikato Hospital, where he has received every attention. We are glad to say ho is making good progress and hopes are entertained of his recovery.
