HAMILTON ROAD BOARD.
The adjourned monthly meeting of tho Hamilton Road Board was held on Saturday last, at the usual hour. The following member? were present;— Messrs Maunder (chairman,) J. C. Booth, and J. Livingstone. Crown and Native Lands Rating Act. —A letter was read from the Secretary to the Treasury, intimating that it was the intention of the Government next financial year, to cease making payments under " the Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1885" but that rates as usual will be paid for the year ending March 31st, 1888, but 110 longer. Tenders.' —It was resolved to call for tenders for gravelling a portion of the old Whatawhata road, near the residence of Dr Carev. MuPhersox's Case.—lt was also resolved that the elprk write to the Waikato Hospital Board, asking the Board to reconsider the application of Henry McPherson for admission to the Hospital, at their next meeting. Accounts.—The following accounts were passed:—lnterest on loan to General Government, £7 8s Oil; W. McPherson (Road work), 10s; J. Sebly (Road work), 0s; Tun Waikato Times (advertising), ISs ; total, £0 2s lid.
