SUICIDE AT THE NORTH SHORE.
A young lady, named Lucy Denize, 22 years of age, whilst 011 a visit to some friends at Lake Takapuna, lose up at daylight 011 Sunday morning and threw herself into the lake, where her body was found shortly afterwards by some gentlemen who had goue to the spot for a bathe. The deceased was a daugher of Mr John Denize, of Ouehunga, and had lately been in a low state of health. She left a letter on her dre-smg table addressed to Mr Lb Jeune, of Pitt Street. |BY TELEGRAPH.— OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Auckland, Monday. Nothing fresh has transpired to throw any additional light on the sad drowning case at Lake Takapuna. At the inquest held to-day a verdict of suicide while in an unsound state of mind was returned.
