RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, HAMILTON.
Thuksday—(Before Mr H. \V. Nortbcroit, R.M.) A SPKCIAI, sitting <)i the Court was held on Thursday. A few unfinished debt cases worn finally disposed of. Hay v. Bahxow.—This was a case in which Mr McUiegor Hay sued Robert, Barlow, a halfeaste, for the payment of £12 7s for services rendered by plaintiff in connection with defendant's claims in the Native Land Court. Mr Hay conducted his own case, and Mr O'Xuill appeared for defendant. Considerable evidence \ra> given on both sides. Mr Uufaur, from Auckland, and Mr if. Unwpur were ex•imined.mi behalf of the latter. The Court stated it had reason for discrediting the evidence of the defendant, and gave judgment for plaintiff, with costs .£1 uu.
