ACCIDENT AT TAUPIRI.

At the inquest held on the death of Mr .bunes Russell killed at the Taupiri mine, a verdict of " Accidental Death" was returned the jury did not attribute any blame to the manager. It appears that the deceased was returning to his work at 12.45. p.m. with a mate named Wm. Dunne. Tho latter went up the fac:o where they were working, and never expecting the stuff was loose, touched a patch with his pick. He had just time to call ont "'Lookout, Jim, it's off," when the lot flew past him and fell on Russell, crushing: his brains ont.
