[BV TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Auckland, Friday. The police are on the track of an illicit still in the Kaipara district. Some grog was today found concealed in a package of fruit consigned from Helensville to Te Aroha. A young man named John Lomax tried to cut his throat at the Blue Post Diningrooms to-day. He is subject to epileptic fits, and has been sent out here for his health in charge of a person mined Marsh. The latter took away the knife, but received a severe blow in the face from the would-be suicide, who was rakfn in charge.
