On -sea (chairman), explained the object ot (.he meeting. Mr Tuck proposed that a racing club bo formed to be called the Waikato Jockey Club, tho first meeting to beat Allwili's course, on tho 17tli March, seconded by .Mr (». MoOann and carried. On the-uiotioa of Mr .fas. Forrest Messrs Russell, Bach, Tuck, Oussun, McNieo], C. H. White, Turnbull, W. T. Carr, and S. Lav.-son were elected a working committee. On tiie motion of Mr Bach, members subscriptions was fixed at one guinea. Mr Turnbull moved that stakes of not less than one hundred and fifty pounds be given. Carried. Mr Arnaboldi offered the nso of his totalisator freo, which was accepted, and a vote of thanks 'carried for the olfor. Mr Bach was appointed secretary to the working committee, who meet again on the fourth of February.
