LAWN TENNIS.

Mount Eden v. Hamilton. Four members of the Mount Kden Tennis Club arrived in Hamilton on Saturday, and played a match with our local men, whom they just managed to beat. The following play took place: Messrs Von Stunner and McLernon, Hamilton, beat Messrs Hall and McFarlaae, o—4 and (jo; Messrs Blyth and Gillies, Mount Eden, beat Messrs Kdgecumbe and Murcb, (J-3 and (!—2. In the play-off Edgecuinbo took McLernon's place with Von Stunner, as Mr McLernon had to leave, and the play resulted in Messrs Hall and Mcfarlane beating Von Stunner and Ednecumbe, (i—l, o—s, and o—o, against o—2 and G—4 for Hamilton.
