HORRIBLE OUTRAGE IN LONDON.
Shortly before six o'clock one day recently, James Murden, agod nine years, resulmg at No 23, Auckland-street, Vauxhall, wan playiri'-infroutof tho church in Little Pulteney-street, Haymarket, when he was soized by a man, who impaled him on tlio iron railings surrounding the churchyard. He was terribly injured, one of tho iron spikes having penetrated the abdominal wall He was immediately rescued, but tho cowardly rullian escaped. A description of the man has, however, been given to the authorities at Scotland-yard, and in all probability he will soon bo arrested. Tho boy Murden was taken to St. lhomas Hospital, whore ho was examined by Mr Tonkinsr, tho house surgeon. Ihe child was admitted to the Albert ward, and now lies in a very critical state.
