THE CAMBRIDGE ROAD BOARD TENDERS.
TO THK KDITOK. Sir,—What is the use of the Cambridge Board calling for tenders for surfacemen when they intend to reappoint the man who hold the office in the past year. Is it that they want to dock his wages? If so, why not ask him privately, and not put other men to the trouble of tendering, and then only to find that although they are onefifth lower the job is not given to them. Is this justice ? I say, no ! Perhaps some of the members present can explain this to yours faithfully, A Ratepayer.
