Exhibition Cotnmissoners are making application to harvesters having superior samples of cereals in shciivesfand grain, to send worthy collections to the Melbourne Exhibition, and request them to communicate with the Secretary in Wellington.
A gazette issued this evening appoints Sir .Tames Deputy (Jovcmoi- t.f N.Z. dutitig the absence of his Kxcelleucy Sir W. Jervois. In reply to a cablegram from the Premier of New Zealand, the Premier of N.S.W. states that 300 Martini-Henry rifles quired for the next meeting of the New Zealand Rifle Association can be. supplied from the colony at £3 5s each.
