TROUBLE WITH CROFTERS. UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.
(By Electric Telkgrapk—Copyright.) Edinburgh, January <J. On , Tuesday last 1000 crofters, at Lewis Island, despite the opposition of the military, proceeded to a farm and drove the stock off. The procession of crofters was headed by pipers, and numerous Hags were borne. The officer-in-charge of the military and several crofiers were injured. Thirteen arrests were made.
