ACCIDENT TO DR. WADDINGTON.
What might have been a very serious accident occurred yesterday afternoon. Dr. Waddington, of Cambridge, had been paying a visit at Mr Sam Steole's, of Ohaupo, and the horse lmd been taken out of the buggy. Tho boy who reharneseed the horse put the winkere on wrong, but the doctor did not notice this until he had re-seated himself in the buggy, when he suddenly noticed the horse had one eye covered and the other not; but before he had time to do anything the animal, feeling something wrong, became frightened and bolted. The doctor sprang clear out of the buggy to save himself. The horse galloped on full speed, smashed the buggy which ho left behind, and went on for about two miles with part of his harness on, and dragging one shaft of the vehicle behind him. We are glad to learn the doctor escaped unhurt, but the buggy is completely smashed. The doctor returned to Cambridge in Mr Steele's waggon little the worse for the escapade. _______^__ — _
