FIRE AT TAMAHERE.
A COTTAGE occupied by Mr .William Armstrong, at Tamahere, was burnt down on Thursday night. The cause of the fire is supposed to be the bursting of a kerosene lamp. Nothing was saved ; about ten hundred weight of bacon was also destroyed. Mr Armstrong was absent at the time. The house and furniture were insured in the Victoria Office for £125.
