THE NATIVES STOP PROSPECTING IN THE KING COUNTRY.

Two prospectors were stopped by the Tiihiia natives yesterday, in defiance »f them having a nass from Wahanni : and this morning a messenger from the Tuhua range was sent down to stop any more prospectors, or they "would cut them down like pigs.” A number of men now .at TV Knili wisli to pinspect the King Country, lint, from what I can hear, the (tovernment will give no facility. Taonni leaves hereon Monday to meet Wahanni at (Itoiohanga, to discuss the action they should take re the Land Court on thy Hitli.
