[bt telegraph.—own correspondent.] Auckland, Friday. The Austrian “Lloyd's,” in an inspired article published on October 30th, expressed the readiness of Austria to enter into a closer alliance with England.
Earl Cairns has been left a fortune of upwards of a million sterling by the decease of his uncle, Hugh McCalmont. The Government report gives the number of destitute people in London at 100,000.
