CAMBRIDGE BOXING-DAY SPORTS 1886.
TO THE EDITOR. Sat,—l wish to draw the attention of the committee of the Cambridge boxing-day sports to the fact that a number of small accounts incurred in connection with the sports held in December 188(1, still remain unpaid ; furthermore, 1 have reliable information for stating that the “ treasurers" account for advertising, etc,, amounting to i'll, was paid very shortly after the sports wore held. I ask is it fair that the treasurer should pay himself in full, and then cease to take further interest in the matter and allow a number of accounts to remain unsettled for such a length of time ? Repeated applications for payment of the accounts above referred to have been made to the secretary, which request has uniformly been met with the reply—“that no funds were in hand,” Trusting that the committee will take action in the above matter. —I arn, sir, Fair Plat.
