JMPORTANT NOTICE. PROPOSED VISIT OK M. GORDON, OPEKMN, INDIRECT FROM ENGLAND.^ to all having impaired or WEAK SIGHT. Vision is justly described as the most important of our senses. It is therefore of the utmost importance that when the help of spectacles is felt to he necessary, great care should be taken in the selection of them, as only too frequently the haphazard plan in which they arc chosen is attended by serious consequences. It has been proved beyond doubt that no loudly pulled cheap Spectacles can be of any special service to any one. There is great skill required in making lenses of tine optical glass or Brazilian pebble, but there is still more skill required in suiting the spectacles to each particular person’s requirements. How can this skill, which is only to be acquired by knowledge, combined with practice, be possessed by every watchmaker, jeweller or ironmonger who buys a dozen pairs of spectacles and writes up that he is an Optician ? Remember that a pair of spectacles which exactly suites one person would in a very short time almost blind another. The special attention devoted by me to the study of adapting glasses to suit the sight, enables me to unsure an accurate fit. It is my intention of visiting Hamilton and Cambridge for a few ilays only, when I hope those requiring glasses will avail themselves of the opportunity of obtaining them. The largest and finest stock of pebble and other spectacles and eye glasses in the colonies. Microscopes, Telescopes, Opera and field glasses of '. very descripsion kept in stock.
