[isT TELEGRAPH.— PU.Ss A.ssoU.UujX.J Wki.lixgtox, Friday. Hexakb Tbpaxi, a well-known Wellington chief, died to-day at Petone, aged 73. His father was a staunch friend of the Europeans. Information was received by the police that the absconding schoolmaster, O'Brien, was arrested in Sydney on arrival of the s.s. Wakatinu. A constable will be sent across to bring back the fugitive by the Hauroto on Wednesday next.
