WAIKATO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Tiik ordinary meeting of the Waikato Comity Council was hold on Friday, 23rd, hist, Present: Messrs Primrose (chairman), Darugh, Johnston, and .Smith. There was no other business of importance except the following : By-Law. —Or. Seddon moved and Cr. Johnston seconded hhat a By-law be made tn prevent riding or driving over any county bridge at other than a walking pace under a penalty not exceeding five pounds, and that a special meeting lie held on the 2Sth October tn confirm the same. Carried. County Ki.ectioxb. —In accordance with the Colonial Secretary's request the county elections were postponed from !Ith November, to Kith November, in honour of the former being the Prince of Wales Birthday-
