They «ay tie- -trancer came to Ib- 111 about eleven o’clock on Tu-sday morning, and walked to the log near which he was found in a dying stale. At the inqn-st the jury returned a verdict that death re-ulted from fractureof the skull and injury to the brain, but there was not mtfirjent evidence to show how the injuries were inflicted. The deceased was a young man about 23 years of age. dark hair, light build, with dark moustache and shaven chin. He wore new tweed trousers, heavy boots, dark coat, and black felt hat. The whole affair is shrouded in the deepest mvsterv, hut that a most diabolical deed has been committed ‘(emu beyond doubt.
