Adelaide, August 19. The Treasurer delivered his Financial Statement last evening. Hie actual deficit he stated was £1,108.000, estimated expenditure current at £2,197,87!?. and revenue at £2,220,828. The country, he said, demanded protection, and it must be given a trial. He proposed to practically adopt the Victorian tariff.
