ALEXANDRA NEWS.
[from OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.J Alexandra, Monday. All, or ,nearly all our interest in the coming elections, is at concentrated on the Waikato seat. Ws yet none of the candidates for Waipa have troubled us, this is the more strange as our poll usually'tots up pretty fairly on election day. Rumour has it, that there is a dark horse, yet to be entered who will make all the running and win easily. If so when the start comes, I suppose our turn will come for a little excitement, when ynnrs is getting stale. Already there appears somewhat a dulneas in the Waikato candidates, ‘‘You’re Another Style.” There does not appear the same enthusiasm in the election here as in old times. When every one had his bet on the results, I have only heard one made as yet, at Alexandra on Saturday, two to one, Russell wins in bottles of Johnny Walker.
