MR THOMAS CAMPBELL AND THE ELECTORS OF WAIPA .
TO THE EDITOR. Sin, —Although a vote of confidence was accorded to Mr Campbell at Hamilton, he need not at all despair on account of only receiving a vote of thanks at Te Awamutu. Many of ns who were present last night were in favour of giving Mr Campbell a vote of confidence, but in our position it would not be politic to do this openly.— Yours truly. Cottager.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin, —The loathsome manner in which the Stout- Vogel crowd have kept in office adversely to the wish of the (ample fully justifies Mr Campbell in bis offer that, if elected, he will pledge himself to resign should a majority of his electors require him so todo. As Mr Campbell very properly puts it, if we pay a man to represent us, it is only fair that he should * y our directions, and not deliberately sal; us, as so many of our bon. members have hitherto done.—Yours truly, Elector.
