WAIKATO POLITICAL REFORM ASSOCIATION.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin. —It seems to me from what I hear in various quarters, that the objects of the above named association are to some extent misunderstood, many being under the impression that the platform as adopted at the first meeting, is unalterable, such is not the case by any means, as it may be altered, or added to in any way that the majority of the representatives of the Local Bodies may determine when thay meet. What the committee of the association now want is to have a meeting of the delegates, to be appointed by the Local Bodies, to finally draft the programme on which they will support candidates at the forthcoming election. Several planks may have been omitted, but it is not too late to add them, and those interested may rely upon this, that the desire of the promoters of the association is to do good to the district as a whole and not to promote the interests of any one candidate or district, as against another.—l am, sir, yours truly, T. G. Sa.N'DES,
