THE NATIVE FANATICS.
THE PRISONERS LODGED IN MOUNT EDEN GAOL.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Auckland, Monday. The native fanatics committed for various terms of imprisonment for unlawful conduct at Hokianga, were brought to Onehunga in the Oreti, and were subsequently lodged in Mount Eden Gaol. On arrival of the vessel the 1U prisoners were at ones transferred to the train, which ran right up tn the gaol gate. The prisoners on arriving wore attired in their white robes and head dresses.

Te Wbetu and Tawakal-.a, for resisting tiro police at Parihaka, wore fined £lO each, or two months’; To Aroha and another, for assaulting the police, were lined £2O and coats, or three months’ hard labour.
