Obntlkmkn, Parliament having this clay been dissolved, 1 beg to offer myself as a Candidate for your suffrages, and will address you at the various centres of population at times and places to be hereafter notified. In the meantime I will merely state that, if elected, I shall be found in opposition to the present Government, or any reconstruction of the same. I will honestly endeavour to reduce expenditure within revenue without increasing taxation. I am opposed to any unnecessary taxation for purely protective purposes, and shall advocate reform form in the working of our railways and their management, so as to encourage the settlement of the up country districts, and am also prepared to advocate that a fair trial be given to Mr Yaile’s system. I shall take an early opportunity of mceting'you. when I shall enter more fully into details on the several topics above referred to, and others which may require explanation.— I am, gentlemen, Yours faithlully, WM.
