WAIPA ELECTION.

TO THK EDITOR. Stlt, —What has become of the candidate announced a few days ago from the north end of the district? It is nearly time the electors hoard from him, I have been looking every issue to see when and where he proposes opening the campaign. Although the Major has apparently got a good hold of tho district, there is lots of time yet to turn the tables. It is unfair to the constituency, as probably the fact of there being two candidates in the field may deter another good man from coining forward. If Mr Campbell has altered his mind he should make a public announcement to this effect. —Yours truly, Elector, Te More, July 23rd, 1887.
