AI'TKI! the parade of the ifainilton Light Infantry on Thursday niglt a well-known gentleman, who is at preset! on a visit from the Thames, said he wouldlike to say a few words to the company. To said it gave him very much pleasure tcbo present that evening to see the corps gi through their drill in such a creditable imnner, for it was a ciedit to them considerinf the short space of Lime they had been funned. Ho also said he was glad to see '.hem muster so well. Having been connected with volunteers for more than 20 yeas, he took great interest in them, and hopel therefore that their captain, officers and the men themselves would be long spare!, and that the company would be a successful one. The complimentary remarks wa-e responded to by the company with loud applause.
