THE MEETING OF PARLIAMENT.
[by telegraph—press association.] W ELLINGTON, Saturday. The Premier denies the statement that Parliament will not meet before the middle of October. He expects the new House to meet in September. Sir Robert Stout states that but for the Government’s distinct pledge that no appointments to the Legislative Council would be made during the recess, he would have recommended the Governor to call Mr Montgomery to the Legislative Council.
